The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, concluded a visit to Riyadh, where he held a series of important meetings with Saudi and Emirati officials, as well as ambassadors from permanent member states of the UN Security Council.
The discussions focused on developments in Yemen and the region, with a particular emphasis on prevailing political dynamics.
Grundberg stressed the urgent need for coordinated regional and international efforts to support constructive dialogue among Yemeni parties and de-escalate existing tensions. He emphasized the importance of advancing an inclusive political process that considers the interests of all Yemenis.
He also called for unity and joint cooperation among all relevant parties, highlighting that such collaboration is essential for reaching a peaceful and lasting resolution to the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
