Yemen Calls for Implementation of Resolutions Banning Iranian Arms to the Houthis

The Yemeni government on Friday emphasized the importance of enforcing international resolutions regarding the ban on the flow of Iranian weapons to the Houthis.
This came in a speech delivered by Yemen’s ambassador to Vienna, Haitham Shuja al-Din, during the meetings of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Yemeni ambassador reiterated Yemen’s demand for Iran to stop its military support to the Houthi militia, stressing the need for practical steps to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government in restoring the state and enhancing their ability to protect Yemen’s vital waterways.
The meeting also discussed the issue of verification and monitoring in Iran under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 of 2015.
Additionally, the meeting addressed topics related to nuclear science and technology, the application of safeguards in Korea and Syria, Israel’s nuclear capabilities, and the situation in Ukraine.
