Yemeni Prime Minister Emphasizes Commitment to Finding Solutions to Electricity Problem

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, emphasized the commitment to finding permanent and strategic solutions to the electricity crisis in Yemen.
This came during his meeting with the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Manea Bin Yameen, and the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, to discuss the completion of executive procedures to provide emergency fuel supplies for the operation of power stations in Aden during the month of Ramadan.
The meeting stressed the need for the government to focus its efforts on finding urgent and strategic solutions to the electricity problem and to ensure transparency in the bidding processes for providing electricity fuel.
Bin Mubarak stated that his government is keen on finding sustainable and strategic solutions in the electricity sector that go beyond temporary fixes, ensuring the provision of services to citizens without interruption.
Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, is suffering from a severe electricity crisis due to a fuel shortage and the lack of resources needed to purchase it, after the government lost its largest sources of oil exports due to Houthi attacks on export ports.
