MASAM: Announces the Removal of 714 Houthi Mines

Saudi Project MASAM announces the removal of 714 explosive devices from various governorates in Yemen.
The total included 30 anti-tank mines and 684 unexploded ordnances, according to a recent report.
Masam’s managing director ,Osama Al-Gosaibi, said a total of 481,240 mines had been removed from different areas in Yemen since the project’s inception in 2018.
The explosives were planted indiscriminately and posed a threat to civilians, including children, women and the elderly.
Demining operations took place in Marib, Aden, Jouf, Shabwa, Taiz, Hodeidah, Lahij, Sana’a, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale and Sa’ada.
The initiative trains local demining engineers and provides them with modern equipment. It also offers support to Yemenis injured by mines.
