Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Yemen condemned the provocative statements issued by the Israeli entity against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, warning of their danger to international efforts aimed at peace and a two-state solution.
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that “Saudi Arabia has been and continues to be a true advocate of peace, and has presented serious and realistic peace initiatives to end the Arab-Israeli conflict, foremost of which was the initiative of King Fahd in 1981, and the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002, which remains the most realistic and applicable option to achieve comprehensive peace. However, the intransigence of the Israeli occupation continues to thwart any fair peace efforts, trying to impose an illegitimate reality that serves its colonial interests at the expense of Palestinian and Arab rights.”
The statement warned of the danger of the arrogant Israeli statements, which not only target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the stability of the entire region.
It called on the international community and the United Nations to take a clear and firm stance against these violations, which blatantly violate all international efforts aimed at achieving peace.
The statement affirmed the firm position of the Republic of Yemen, government and people, alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting any attempt to undermine its sovereignty or its pivotal role in defending Arab and Islamic causes.
It called for strengthening diplomatic efforts to support Arab peace initiatives, and rejecting any attempts to impose unfair or arbitrary solutions at the expense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
In response to its firm position adhering to the establishment of a Palestinian state, Netanyahu said on Friday that “Saudi Arabia has vast areas and can establish a Palestinian state on them,” in response to a question from the presenter of the Hebrew Channel 14, regarding Riyadh’s adherence to the establishment of a Palestinian state in order to normalize relations with Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu claimed that “Riyadh does not condition the establishment of a Palestinian state for normalization with Israel.”
Saudi Arabia has stipulated on more than one occasion that the Israeli government’s approval of the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders is required for normalizing relations.
With American support, “Israel” committed a genocide in Gaza between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, which left more than 159,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
