Houthis Release Yemeni Media Figure Sahar Al-Kholani After Months of Abduction
Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The armed Houthi group released Yemeni media figure Sahar Al-Kholani on Wednesday, five months after she was abducted from her home in Sana’a.
Al-Kholani expressed her gratitude to her parents, who were a source of support for her during her time in the group’s prisons. She also thanked everyone who stood by her and showed solidarity with her plight during her detention.
Al-Kholani posted a new video on her Facebook page in which she said, “I am fine and in good health, and I would like to thank my friends and everyone who published about my case and my injustice; you are not just friends, but brothers. Thank you to everyone who asked about me and my children, and I hope your prayers for me.”
On September 10th of last year, the Houthi group abducted Al-Kholani after raiding her home, following her criticism of the difficult living conditions of citizens on social media.
