Houthis Impose Tight Siege and Shell Qifa Villages in Central Yemen with Drones and Artillery

For the fifth consecutive day, the Houthi armed group has continued to besiege and shell a number of villages belonging to the Qifa tribes in the central Yemeni province of Al Bayda.
Local sources and residents said that “Houthi militants have continued for the fifth day their siege of Hankat Al Masoud villages in Qifa, Al Bayda governorate, and have shelled houses with their occupants using artillery and drones.”
The sources spoke of casualties among civilians, including children and women, and the bombing and shelling of village mosques.
Activists on social media posted photos and videos of houses that were targeted by Houthi shelling, and others that were burning amid attempts by residents to rescue those inside, through voluntary efforts.
