Yemeni Central Bank Sets Deadline for Exchange Companies to Renew Licenses

The Central Bank of Yemen, based in the temporary capital of Aden, has given exchange companies and establishments a two-month deadline to renew their licenses for the year 2025.

In a press release, the Central Bank stated that all exchange companies and establishments operating in the Republic must renew their licenses for the year 2025 at the Central Bank’s headquarters in Aden.

The statement clarified that renewal requests will be submitted electronically through the Central Bank’s licensing platform during the months of January and February 2025.

The Central Bank called for the completion of licensing procedures as specified in the law and the instructions issued by the bank, indicating that legal measures will be taken against latecomers.
