First Flight Takes Off from Sana’a International Airport Following Israeli Airstrikes

The Houthi armed group announced on Friday that the first Yemenia Airways flight had taken off from Sana’a International Airport after it was temporarily shut down following Israeli airstrikes the previous day.

Yahya al-Sayyani, Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works in the Houthi government (not internationally recognized), said: “Regular flights at Sana’a Airport have resumed according to the scheduled times after the Zionist enemy’s airstrikes on the airport,” according to Al-Masirah TV channel.

He added that ” Yemenia Airways plane took off after a several hours halting due to the airstrikes of the Zionist enemy.”

The Israeli occupation had carried out 7 airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport, more than 10 on the ports of Hodeidah Governorate, and the main power station in the same city.
