Newspaper: Mecca Hosts Saudi-Yemeni Business Council Talks

The Saudi newspaper, Okaz, reported that starting today, Sunday, until the coming Tuesday, Mecca will host the joint talks of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council under the slogan “Saudi Vision and Yemeni Development 2030 Towards a Better Future,” aiming to enhance investment opportunities and strengthen economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
According to the newspaper, the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council plays a pivotal and strategic role in supporting economic initiatives and encouraging businessmen in Saudi Arabia and Yemen to launch joint projects, which enjoy the support and privileges of the leaderships of both countries.
Abdullah bin Mahfouz, head of the Saudi side of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council, affirmed that the council works according to plans and objectives that are in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, pointing to the Kingdom’s commitment to standing with its brothers in Yemen at all levels, which is emphasized by the Saudi government in various forums.
Bin Mahfouz explained that the economic sector constitutes a main axis for supporting stability and economic balance in Yemen, especially with the great importance of the Yemeni private sector.
He added that the talks target a group of investment opportunities in various fields, most notably: “the agricultural sector, renewable energy, logistics services, and the development of exports and imports.”
