Fire Engulfs “Hayper Shamlan” in Sana’a, Firefighters Fail to Contain It
Yemen Monitor/ Sana’a/ Exclusive:
A massive fire engulfed a large commercial supermarket in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, which is under Houthi control, on Thursday.
Local residents said that “a fire broke out intensely in the “Hayper Shamlan” supply store in Hamdan district of the capital Sana’a due to an electrical short circuit.”
They indicated that the Houthi-controlled civil defense teams were able to extinguish the fire, but only after the fire had consumed most of the contents of the two-story hypermarket.
