The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Tuesday that its aircraft carrier, which had been stationed off the coast of Yemen, has departed the Middle East region.
A Pentagon spokesperson told reporters: “The aircraft carrier Lincoln has left the Middle East region.”
Earlier this month, the Houthis had claimed to have attacked the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and other U.S. destroyers as they attempted to transit into the Red Sea.
