Yemeni President Reviews Plan to Resume Parliament Sessions

On Sunday, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan Al-Barkani, along with members of the Council’s presidency, Engineer Mohammed Al-Shadadi and Mohsen Basurah.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the political, economic, and service conditions, as well as the necessary measures to enhance the role of state institutions, according to the official Yemeni News Agency.
Al-Alimi briefed the Speaker and members of the House presidency on local developments, primarily the economic situation, fluctuations in currency exchange rates and essential goods, and the presidential efforts to accelerate the implementation of the economic rescue plan, along with the policies and measures taken to alleviate the humanitarian suffering exacerbated by attacks from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias on oil facilities and international navigation lines.
During the meeting, Al-Alimi listened to a briefing from the Speaker of the House regarding the Council’s activities in the past period and the results of its committees’ work concerning the performance of the executive authority and the general conditions in the country.
Al-Barkani also addressed the Council’s plan to resume its sessions and the draft agenda for its upcoming session, according to the same source.
