10 Killed, Including Women, in a Horrific Car Crash South of Sana’a

Approximately 10 people were killed and others injured, including women and children, on Saturday in a horrific car accident in Qa’ al-Dilmi, east of the city of Dhamar, south of the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.

Local sources stated, “The accident resulted from a collision between a Hilux and a Nova taxi in Qa’ al-Dilmi area, east of Dhamar.”

According to the sources, six of the deceased were from the same family from Khrabat Beit al-Ashwal, who were on board a Hilux on their way to Ma’rib Governorate to obtain passports.

The sources added that four other deceased were on board the Nova taxi, in addition to four critically injured people, including a child.

According to a narrative from a relative of one of the victims, the cause of the accident was attributed to potholes, as one of the cars tried to avoid a pothole and collided head-on with the other car.
