Yemen Affirms Readiness to Enhance Coordination with Azerbaijan

Yemeni Vice President Abdullah al-Alimi has affirmed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields.
This came during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the climate summit.
Al-Alimi said, “The meeting was a valuable, exceptional, and fundamental one during which His Excellency the President overwhelmed us with deep feelings and great interest,” noting that during the meeting, they discussed the shared relations, common humanity, and strengthening ties between the two countries.
Al-Alimi praised “the State of Azerbaijan, a state that has a long history as a civilizational and commercial link between East and West since the Silk Road, and its rich culture, art, and tolerance.”
Al-Alimi expressed “great admiration for the excellent organization of the climate conference, which presented a wonderful model and a fitting representation of Islamic countries. This remarkable presence and level of international representation reflects Azerbaijan’s international standing and distinguished presence. He also congratulated them on their courage in liberating their country in the recent war.”
For his part, the Azerbaijani president briefed al-Alimi on some aspects of the systematic destruction carried out by Armenia during its recent war on Azerbaijan and the importance of Islamic solidarity.
Al-Alimi affirmed, in this context, that Yemen and Azerbaijan stand side by side and share visions about the future of the two countries, and his readiness to enhance coordination between the two countries in various fields.
