On Friday, the Yemeni Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, Mohammed Aida Shabebah, praised the courage and heroism of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was martyred while engaging directly with the occupation army in Gaza.

Shabebah stated on his account on X that “Commander Yahya Sinwar fought the Zionists and fought against them. Engaging with the aggressive occupying forces is unquestionable, as it is endorsed by divine and legal laws. Defending sacred sites, land, and honor is an honor, a high status, and a virtue.”

The Yemeni minister added, “Al-Sinwar did not direct his weapon at his nation; he never fired a shot at an Arab or a Muslim. His battlefield was pure, and his banner was clear in defending Al-Quds and its surroundings. He died on its soil, shedding his blood upon it, and his remains scattered in its protection. He died as a brave, heroic, steadfast, and revered warrior.”

He continued, “He was killed while fighting, with his weapon in hand, its barrel still hot. He died as he wished and attained martyrdom as he had hoped.”

Earlier, Khalil Hayya, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, mourned Yahya Al-Sinwar, the head of the movement’s political bureau, stating that he was martyred “while engaging with and confronting the Israeli army,” emphasizing that there will be no return of Israeli prisoners unless the aggression on the Gaza Strip is halted.

Hayya said in a recorded speech: “We mourn Yahya Al-Sinwar, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, and the commander of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, who ascended as a martyr while holding his weapon.”

He added that Al-Sinwar was martyred “while engaging and confronting the Israeli occupation army until the last moments of his life.”

He further stated, “Al-Sinwar was at the forefront, moving between combat positions, steadfast and unwavering on Gaza’s land, defending Palestine.”

He concluded, “Israeli prisoners will not return unless the aggression on Gaza is halted, and there is a complete withdrawal from it, along with the release of our prisoners from the detention centers.”
