The Israeli army reported that air raid sirens went off Saturday in various areas of central Israel, including Tel Aviv.

Israeli military radio quoted a military source saying, “A missile launched from Yemen towards Tel Aviv was intercepted at an altitude of 70 kilometers.”

On Thursday, the Israeli army stated that it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen following the sound of sirens and explosions.

The Houthi group has been repeatedly launching missiles and drones at Israeli territory, claiming it is in solidarity with the Palestinians since the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 7.

In July, the Houthis launched a drone at Tel Aviv for the first time, resulting in the death of one man and injuring four others. In response, Israel conducted airstrikes on Houthi military targets near the port of Hodeidah, resulting in six deaths and 80 injuries.

Earlier this month, the Houthis launched a missile that reached central “Israel,” which claimed to have intercepted it.
