Several schools in the Yemeni city of Taiz held diverse celebrations today, Sunday, to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the glorious 26 September Revolution.
Ne’ma Rassam School in Taiz organized a vibrant carnival, with students presenting unique performances that glorified the revolution and reinforced the spirit of national belonging and loyalty to the values and principles of the revolution that eradicated the dark Imamate regime 62 years ago.
In a similar vein, Taiz police units conducted military parades and marches in the city streets this morning to celebrate the anniversary of the 26 September Revolution.
Al-Hakimi Martyr School also celebrated the 26 September Revolution with carnivals and various performances, embodying the revolution’s great value and its importance in the lives of Yemenis in getting rid of the backward Imamate regime.
For days, the city, which is under the control of the internationally recognized government, has witnessed numerous events and celebrations, collectively expressing the grandeur of celebrating this great national occasion.
On Thursday, Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan inaugurated the celebrations of the Yemeni revolutions of 26 September, 14 October, and 30 November by organizing festivals in the governorate’s schools and illuminating the historic Cairo Castle.
Governor Shamsan stated in a press release that “the governorate will witness continuous celebrations of these immortal national holidays, noting that today’s beginning was at Al-Hakimi School and Muhammad al-Dura School, as well as various cultural and national events.”
He added that “celebrating the anniversary of the Yemeni revolutions is a tribute to the heroic roles of the free and revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives and blood to remove injustice, backwardness, and Imamate and colonial racism, and to create a space for the republic, freedom, democracy, justice, and equality.”
