Yemeni regions expected to experience rainfall within the next few hours

The National Meteorology Center forecast on Monday that heavy thunderstorms will continue to affect several governorates.
The weather bulletin stated that it is expected that varying intensities of thunderstorms, accompanied by strong downdrafts and sometimes hail, will occur in parts of the governorates of (Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale, Rima, Dhamar, Sana’a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, and Saada) and the highlands and coastal areas of Tihama. The rains will also extend to parts of the coastal governorates of (Mahra, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden) and their adjacent inland areas.
It also forecast varying intensities of rain in parts of the governorates of (Al Bayda, Al Jawf, and Marib).
The center warned citizens in areas expected to receive rain to avoid valleys and flood channels and to refrain from crossing earthen bridges.
It warned of thunderstorms, strong winds, hail, and reduced horizontal visibility due to rain and fog formation.
It also warned of rockfalls on roads and mountain slopes, as well as the collapse of mud and traditional buildings due to continued rainfall.
The center urged relevant government agencies to take the necessary measures and precautions to protect lives and property and to follow the bulletins and reports issued by the National Meteorology Center.
