Greek frigate clashes with four Houthi drones in the Red Sea

Yemen Monitor/News Room

The Greek Ministry of Defense said on Sunday that the Greek frigate “Psara”, which is participating in the European “Aspides” operation to protect shipping lanes in the Red Sea, shot down drones launched by the Houthis at a commercial ship.

This was the first involvement of the Psara frigate in the Red Sea off Yemen since it recently replaced the Hydra.

According to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the frigate “engaged with four drones using its anti-drone system and guns. Two drones were shot down, and the other two were forced to disperse.”
